Well Hello There! Welcome to my website!
My name is Lord Jakob Agnarsson, pronounced: “Yah-Cub Ag-narr-son” (Mundanely known as Jack Riccardelli). I currently reside in the Shire of Eisental in the East Kingdom of the SCA. This is my blog for posting my art, projects, reviews, and anything else that pertains to my hobbies within the SCA.
I joined in February 2020, (oops) and started with fencing. I’ve had a love for fiber arts all my life and it didn’t take long before I fell in with the A&S crowd and started learning medieval fiber arts. The first thing I learned was fingerloop braiding and that’s stuck with me to this day. You’ll see some of my weaving with fingerloop braids at the end, or you’ll see me squawking on about color variations within braids and how you can have 4 different looking braids from one pattern. (But more on that later).
These days I’m a literal Jack-of-all-trades and I’m normally running around like a chickenless head at events. When I’m not fencing or serving, I’m usually crafting something, and I’ve been having a ton of fun learning how to tablet weave.
The plan for this blog is to show off finished work, talk about current projects, and also to review materials and tools I use here and there. I hope you like what you find and thanks for stopping by!
